Buckingham Pavilion plans daily social, recreational, and cultural activities designed for each resident’s level of participation. These activities provide opportunities for residents to grow, learn, express themselves, and have fun. Programs include arts and crafts, a book club, exercise classes, and field trips to local destinations. We have exercise to music programs and weekly concerts. There are performances by chamber musicians, theater groups, dance groups, art appreciation by the Art Institute, and ensembles in our own Buckingham Theater. Our library is fully stocked with books, many in large print, audiobooks, and movies. Residents may relax at the end of the day by watching old movies and reminiscing with peers who remember the same movies. Our collection of digital video discs is available to residents who like watching old-time television shows such as “I Love Lucy”, “The Dean Martin Show”, “Red Skeleton”, and “Burns and Allen”.
